Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 1 box 10x sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon or vanilla extract
  • flour

Instructions

  1. Mix margarine with 1 box of 10x sugar until well combined.
  2. Fill the flour into the mixture, not quite full.
  3. Add 1 egg and one-fifth of the flour to the margarine-sugar mixture.
  4. Blend well.
  5. Continue to add eggs and flour until the mixture is well blended.
  6. Add lemon or vanilla extract and mix well.
  7. Place the batter into an ungreased loaf (tube) pan.
  8. Bake in a cold oven at 325°F for 1 1/2 hours.
  9. Check the cake at 1 hour and thereafter for doneness.
