Instructions
- Melt butter in a large heavy saucepan.
- Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Continue to boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the popped popcorn and mix well.
- Divide the coated popcorn into 2 large deep pans.
- Bake at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Cool completely and store in a covered container.
