Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Using one end of the stick of butter or margarine, grease the sides and bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Peel, core, and slice the apples, then distribute them evenly in the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle the sugar/cinnamon mixture over the apples.
- Using your hand, sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the entire pan, covering the apples, using 1/2 to 3/4 of the cake mix.
- Dot the top of the cake mix with the remaining butter or margarine.
- Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until the top is browned.
