Shortbread Cookie Bars

Instructions
- Cream butter and margarine.
- Add sugar, egg yolk, vanilla and flour and cream until smooth.
- Use wrapper from butter to spread dough in cookie sheet.
- Lay a piece of wax paper over top to help smooth batter evenly.
- Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
- Beat egg white until stiff, along with 1 teaspoon sugar.
- Spread over dough.
- Sprinkle with fine nuts.
- Bake at 275° for 45 to 60 minutes.
- Remove from oven at once.
- Cut into squares.
