Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 18 large shrimp, peeled and cleaned
  • 18 large basil leaves

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and crushed red pepper.
  2. Add shrimp to the dish and toss to coat well. Refrigerate covered for 30 to 45 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  4. Individually wrap each shrimp in a basil leaf, then in a slice of prosciutto, and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Place the wrapped shrimp on the prepared cookie sheet and refrigerate up to 4 hours.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until the shrimp are opaque.
  7. Serve hot.
