Ingredients

  • vegetable cooking spray
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter flavor mix
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 medium baking apples, cored and sliced into 1/3-inch wedges

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray a nonstick skillet with vegetable cooking spray.
  2. Pour in apple juice.
  3. Add sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in butter flavor mix, cinnamon, and nutmeg and cook for about 1 minute.
  6. Add the sliced apples and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until the apples are soft.
