Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chopped steak or tenderloin
  • 3 to 4 large carrots, chopped
  • 4 to 5 potatoes, chopped
  • 3 to 4 stalks celery
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown beef in bacon grease.
  2. Chop veggies in large pieces and add to the meat in a large Dutch oven. Add bay leaf and 2 cups water. Cook 1 to 2 hours or until tender.
