Simple Golden Drop Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Stir together first 5 ingredients.
  2. Cut in margarine with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add milk all at once and stir until dough sticks together.
  4. Drop 2 tablespoonfuls of dough per biscuit ontp a baking sheet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Bake at 450* for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
  6. Serve warm.
