- Wash all vegetables; cut cabbage, tomatoes, peppers and onions into small pieces.
- Cover with salt.
- Use cloth and soak overnight, covered.
- Drain the excess water next morning.
- In pan, place pickling spice, sugar and 3 cups water to make syrup boil, then add all vegetables and cook until tender.
- Pack in clean jars and seal.
