Six Baked Apples

Ingredients

  • apples
  • raisins, chopped dates or pecans
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. water or apple juice
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • syrup

Instructions

  1. Wash apples.
  2. Pare a strip from the top of each apple.
  3. Core apple.
  4. Fill apple with raisins, chopped dates or pecans.
  5. Place on a baking dish.
  6. Combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour syrup over apples and bake at 350° for about 1 hour.
