Smothered Steak Roll-Ups

- Cut the steak into 6 pieces, approximately 8 x 4 inches each.
- Pound each piece with a meat hammer or the edge of a heavy saucer to tenderize.
- Place 1/4 cup of prepared herb seasoned stuffing near the center of each piece of meat.
- Roll up the meat around the stuffing, tuck in the ends, and secure with skewers or toothpicks.
- In a skillet, brown the roll-ups in shortening; then pour off excess fat.
- Add the cream of mushroom soup and water to the skillet.
- Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until tender, stirring occasionally.
