Ingredients

  • 1 unbeaten egg white
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine egg white, sugar, salt, water, and corn syrup in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Beat the mixture for 1 minute, then place over boiling water and beat constantly for 4 minutes.
  3. Remove from boiling water and beat for 1 minute more while adding vanilla.
  4. Spread on cake.
