Ingredients

  • 10 oz. frozen puff pastry shells
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 Tbsp. sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped cooked beef shank meat
  • 1/2 tsp. dried dill
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove pastry shells from package and let stand at room temperature to thaw 30 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté chopped onion until translucent.
  3. Mix cooked beef shank meat with sour cream, dried dill, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill each puff pastry shell with the beef mixture.
  5. Brush the edges of the shells with beaten egg yolk mixed with water to seal.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
