Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo or butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 5 tablespoons whiskey
  • 1 quart pecans
  • 1 pound candied cherries
  • 1 pound candied pineapple
  • 1/2 pound chopped dates

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased tube pan.
  3. Bake the cake at 250°F (121°C) for 4 hours.
  4. Place a pan of water over the cake and another pan of water under the cake during baking.
