Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 can evaporated milk (12 oz.)
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 package white chocolate wafers (12 oz.) or white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 jar marshmallow cream (7 oz.)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Let butter begin to melt in a heavy 3-quart saucepan.
  2. Brush the sides of the pan with melted butter.
  3. Add evaporated milk and sugar. Cook over medium-high heat to boiling, about 8 minutes, whisking constantly to dissolve sugar.
  4. Cook over medium-high heat, whisking frequently to soft ball stage, 236°F (about 12 to 15 minutes).
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add candy wafers, marshmallow cream, chopped nuts, and vanilla; stir until well blended.
  7. Pour into a well buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan; cool and cut into squares.
