Ingredients

  • chuck roast
  • flour
  • onion
  • 1/2 garlic pod
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 c. pickling spice, tied in bag
  • light vinegar
  • water as needed

Instructions

  1. Flour roast, salt, pepper and brown, then add ingredients.
  2. Add water as needed.
  3. Cook about 2 1/2 hours or until tender.
  4. May make gravy by after cooking roast, thicken juice with flour.
