Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 large garlic cloves
  • 1 1/2 cups basil leaves
  • 2 cups canned plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • pasta, cooked al dente

Instructions

  1. Brown the garlic cloves slightly in olive oil in an uncovered saucepan.
  2. Add basil leaves, chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper to the saucepan.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes to develop flavors.
  4. Combine the sauce with cooked al dente pasta in a large hot bowl.
  5. Mix well and top with Parmesan cheese to taste.
