Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in their skins until tender.
  2. Chill the potatoes thoroughly.
  3. Peel and coarsely grate the potatoes.
  4. Spread the grated potatoes in a baking dish, season with salt and pepper, and dot with butter.
  5. Pour whipping cream over the potatoes.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 45 minutes until brown around the edges.
