Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 cups beer
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 cups flour
  • nuts (optional)

Instructions
