Ingredients

  • 2 c. white vinegar
  • 4 c. water
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 1/4 box pickling spice
  • pickles

Instructions

  1. Cut pickles into small chunks.
  2. Soak pickles in boiling water and coarse salt (about a handful) for 2 hours.
  3. Drain.
  4. Put all ingredients except pickles in a kettle.
  5. Bring to a boil and add pickles.
  6. Simmer a few minutes until juice turns yellow.
  7. Put in jars.
