Ingredients

  • 3 cans Dole pineapple chunks
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 1 (3-inch) stick cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Drain the pineapple chunks from the cans.
  2. Combine sugar, white vinegar, whole cloves, and cinnamon stick in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the drained pineapple chunks to the mixture and bring to a boil again.
  4. Remove from heat and set aside until cooled.
  5. Remove the cinnamon stick from the mixture.
  6. Optional: add food coloring to the mixture.
  7. Chill the spiced pineapple in the refrigerator before serving.
  8. Serve with toothpicks.
