Ingredients

  • 2 dozen hard crabs, backed and cleaned
  • 6 to 8 medium white potatoes, diced or cubed
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 to 8 thin slices salt fatback, fried out, or 2 Tbsp. oil

Instructions

  1. Place crabs in a large pot.
  2. Add potatoes, onion, salt and pepper, grease from fatback or oil, and water.
  3. Cook over medium heat for approximately 15 minutes or until full boil begins.
