Ingredients

  • 1 Duncan Hines Butter Recipe cake mix
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (6 oz.) box strawberry jello
  • 1 (10 oz.) box frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Bake the Duncan Hines Butter Recipe cake as directed on the box and let it cool.
  2. In a saucepan, cook sugar, water, and cornstarch over medium heat until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the strawberry jello until dissolved.
  4. Add the frozen strawberries to the jello mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Crumble the baked cake into a serving dish to form the first layer.
  6. Pour the jello and strawberry mixture over the cake layer.
  7. Add another layer of crumbled cake on top of the jello mixture.
  8. Top with Cool Whip before serving.
