Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • dash of salt
  • 1 small box strawberry jello
  • 2 boxes fresh strawberries

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and cornstarch well in a saucepan.
  2. Add water and salt to the mixture and cook until it thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the strawberry jello until fully dissolved.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool completely.
  5. Add chopped fresh strawberries to the cooled mixture.
  6. Pour the filling into two pre-cooked pie shells.
  7. Chill the pies in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  8. Top with Cool Whip before serving.
