Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons white corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry gelatin powder
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, cornstarch, corn syrup, and water together in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook until thick and clear.
  3. Add strawberry gelatin powder, stirring until dissolved.
  4. Cool the gelatin mixture.
  5. Arrange sliced strawberries to cover the bottom of the baked pie shell.
  6. Pour cooled gelatin mixture over the strawberries.
  7. Chill the pie until set.
