Ingredients

  • 1/2 large angel food cake
  • 1 (3 oz.) package instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 small package strawberry jello
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 8 oz. whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Break the angel food cake into bite-sized pieces and place in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, beat the instant vanilla pudding with 1 cup of milk until smooth.
  3. Add the softened vanilla ice cream to the pudding mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Pour the pudding and ice cream mixture over the cake pieces in the dish.
  5. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to set.
  6. In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 1 cup of hot water.
  7. Add the thawed strawberries and juice to the gelatin mixture and stir.
  8. Pour the strawberry gelatin mixture over the cake and pudding layers.
  9. Refrigerate until the dessert is firm, preferably overnight.
  10. Frost the top with whipped topping before serving.
