Ingredients

  • 1/2 angel food cake, cubed
  • 1 pt. vanilla ice cream
  • 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 c. Heritage milk
  • 3 oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 10 oz. frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Place cake cubes in a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
  2. Mix vanilla instant pudding with milk and add vanilla ice cream, mixing well with an electric beater.
  3. Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the cake cubes.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix boiling water with strawberry gelatin.
  5. Add frozen strawberries to the gelatin mixture and stir until the berries melt and incorporate.
  6. Pour the strawberry gelatin mixture evenly over the pudding layer.
  7. Do not stir after pouring.
  8. Place the assembled dessert in the refrigerator and chill until set.
