Ingredients

  • 12 medium Maryland soft crabs, cleaned
  • 1 lb Maryland backfin crabmeat
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Dry soft crabs with paper towels.
  2. Remove all cartilage from crabmeat.
  3. Place soft crabs in a shallow baking pan.
  4. Remove top shell from each crab and stuff each cavity with about 3 tablespoons of crabmeat.
  5. Replace the top shell onto each crab.
  6. Melt butter and pour evenly over the stuffed crabs.
  7. Bake at 400°F until shells turn red and crabs brown slightly, about 15 minutes.
