- Peel and cut up the apples; add the unsweetened apple juice.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of water.
- Stir the dissolved cornstarch into the apple mixture and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes until the apples are tender.
- Stir in the cinnamon.
- Dot the margarine over the top of the filling.
- Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes, until the crust is brown and the filling is bubbly.
