Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup lard
  • 2 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Pour scalded milk over sugar, salt, and lard.
  2. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the milk mixture.
  4. Beat eggs and add to the mixture.
  5. Add flour gradually until the dough is slightly sticky.
  6. Let the dough rise once.
  7. Roll out the dough and spread with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  8. Roll up the dough and cut into individual rolls.
  9. Let the rolls rise again.
  10. Bake at 350°F until lightly browned.
  11. Frost with your favorite frosting.
