Sweet Suet Soup

Ingredients

  • 12 prunes
  • 1/3 cup rice
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 orange, cut up
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 can fruit cocktail
  • 2 tablespoons tapioca

Instructions

  1. Put prunes, rice, and about 2 1/2 cups water in pressure cooker and cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a pan and cook much longer.
  3. Add more water, raisins, cinnamon, orange pieces, and sugar to the pan with the prune mixture.
  4. Cook slowly for about 1 hour.
  5. Add the fruit cocktail and tapioca to the mixture.
  6. Cook just until the tapioca and fruit cocktail are dissolved, then serve.
