Ingredients

  • 1 cup scalded milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cake yeast

Instructions

  1. When milk is lukewarm, add yeast, then add 2 cups of flour and beat well. Let it rise.
  2. Add the butter, sugar, salt, and the 2 beaten eggs to the mixture.
  3. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead well.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place.
  5. Shape the risen dough into small rolls and place them in buttered pans.
  6. Let the rolls rise again.
  7. Bake in a brisk oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes or more.
