Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
  • 6 oz strawberry gelatin

Instructions

  1. Mix crushed pretzels, margarine, and 1/2 cup sugar.
  2. Spread the mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool.
  5. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and thawed Cool Whip until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  7. Heat pineapple juice until warm.
  8. Add gelatin and strawberries (still frozen) to the pineapple juice.
  9. When the mixture thickens, pour it over the second layer.
  10. Chill until firm, then serve.
