Three Week Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white vinegar
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. In large bowl, shred cabbage and onion.
  2. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon sugar over all and let set.
  3. Bring to boil vinegar, oil, 3/4 cup sugar, celery seed, salt and prepared mustard.
  4. Pour over cabbage. Cover and put in refrigerator.
  5. Leave several hours, then stir and serve.
