Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. water

Instructions

  1. Beat sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla together.
  2. Sift flour and cocoa together twice and mix together well.
  3. Chop kraut finely, measure, wash three times with cold water and drain.
  4. Mix kraut into the batter.
  5. Bake at 375°F to 400°F for 30 minutes.
