Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 scant c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar until very light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in flour, vanilla and almonds.
  3. Drop by teaspoonful on a buttered cookie sheet rather far apart.
  4. Flatten with a spoon.
  5. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.
  6. Remove from oven and let stand for 3 minutes.
  7. Remove with spatula.
