Tingalings are crunchy, sweet treats combining chocolate, butterscotch, nuts, and chow mein noodles, perfect for parties or as a nostalgic snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 12 oz. butterscotch chips
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped chow mein noodles
  • 12 oz. nuts (cashews, walnuts, peanuts)

Instructions

  1. Put chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a microwave deep bowl.
  2. Microwave on High for 4 to 5 minutes until melted, stirring halfway through.
  3. Mix the melted chips together.
  4. Chop nuts and stir into the chips mixture.
  5. Add chopped chow mein noodles and stir to combine.
  6. Drop teaspoonfuls of the candy mixture onto wax paper.
  7. Allow to cool for 1 hour before serving.
