- Melt margarine in boiling water.
- Add flour and salt all at once and stir vigorously.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture forms a ball that doesn't separate from the pan.
- Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating vigorously after each addition until mixture is smooth.
- Drop by 1/2 teaspoon about 1 1/2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake in a very hot oven at 450°F for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350°F and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove with spatula and cool on a rack.
