Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 12 oz. package chocolate chips (dark)

Instructions

  1. Cook butter and sugar on medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture reaches 290°F on a candy thermometer.
  2. Pour the hot caramel mixture onto a greased cookie sheet with sides.
  3. Spread out the mixture evenly and allow it to cool and set.
  4. Once cooled, optionally top with chocolate chips and let them melt before spreading the chocolate if desired.
