Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb. chicken wings, cut in two
  • 40 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c. red wine

Instructions

  1. Clean the garlic cloves. If a garlic clove is large, cut it in half and count each half as one clove.
  2. In a nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil and add the garlic cloves. Cook until fragrant and slightly caramelized.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the skillet and cook until they are browned and cooked through.
  4. While cooking, season the wings with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Pour in the red wine and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes until the wine reduces slightly and flavors meld.
