Topsy Turnovers

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli or spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp. dried onion flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°.
  2. Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  3. In medium bowl, combine chopped broccoli or spinach, egg, cheese, onion flakes, garlic powder and salt; set aside.
  4. Unroll pizza dough and pull gently to form a 13 x 10-inch rectangle.
  5. Cut dough in half crosswise, then cut each half into thirds lengthwise to make 6 equal pieces.
  6. Place equal amounts of filling on one side of each piece of dough.
  7. Moisten one short side of each piece with a small amount of water.
  8. Fold dough over filling and seal edges using the tines of a fork.
  9. Place turnovers on baking sheet. Bake 15 to 17 minutes until golden.
  10. Remove from baking sheet to wire racks and cool completely.
  11. Wrap each turnover separately and freeze if desired.
