Ingredients

  • 8 oz. strawberry cream cheese
  • 4 slices white bread (crusts removed)
  • 1/2 pint fresh sliced strawberries
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or oil
  • strawberry syrup or powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Spread cream cheese on two slices of bread.
  2. Top the cream cheese with sliced strawberries, covering evenly.
  3. Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches.
  4. Dip each sandwich in a mixture of beaten egg and milk.
  5. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Serve warm with strawberry syrup or powdered sugar.
