Ingredients

  • 1 whole angel food cake
  • 2 large cans mandarin oranges
  • 2 packages orange flavored Jell-O
  • 1 quart orange sherbet

Instructions

  1. Drain mandarin oranges and save the juice.
  2. Bring 1 cup of mandarin orange juice to a boil.
  3. Stir in the orange-flavored gelatin until dissolved.
  4. Pour the gelatin mixture into a large bowl and add the orange sherbet.
  5. Stir until the sherbet is melted and well combined.
  6. Fold in Cool Whip until smooth.
  7. Tear half of the angel food cake into bite-sized pieces and place in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  8. Cut half of the mandarin oranges over the cake in the pan.
  9. Pour half of the gelatin mixture over the cake and oranges in the pan.
  10. Repeat the layers with remaining cake, oranges, and gelatin mixture.
  11. Garnish with additional Cool Whip and mandarin oranges before serving.
