- In a large saucepan, warm the milk.
- When the milk is warm, add salt, yeast, and 1 1/2 cups of flour.
- Stir until the yeast is melted.
- Put aside and let rise for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, add the beaten eggs, sugar, melted butter, lemon, and orange peels.
- Stir in well with your hand, not a mixer.
- Begin adding flour slowly until it forms a soft, non-sticky dough.
- Knead the dough well.
- Put aside to rise for 3 to 4 hours.
- When well risen, knead again.
- Shape into braids or loaves.
