Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider browning the turkey drumsticks in a skillet before boiling. You can substitute the white beans with kidney beans or chickpeas if desired. If you prefer, add some chopped bell peppers or carrots to the mixture for extra veggies. To enhance the smoky flavor, use smoked sausage or add a dash of liquid smoke.

Serving Suggestions

This Turkey Bean Casserole pairs beautifully with a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal. You can also serve it with crusty bread or rice to soak up the delicious sauce. For an added touch, a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro right before serving enhances both presentation and flavor.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the casserole in a preheated oven at 350°F until heated through, about 20-25 minutes. You can also microwave individual portions for a quick meal, ensuring they are evenly heated.
