Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine or shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 2 c. cake flour or regular flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients. Add milk; beat well. Use 2 (8-inch) layer pans. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.
