Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup real maple syrup (grade B is recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 6 hot dogs
  • 6 hot dog buns, toasted
  • honey mustard

Instructions

  1. In a deep, non-stick frying pan, combine the syrup, butter, and soy sauce; heat to a simmer.
  2. Score the hot dogs and add to the simmering sauce, turning them to coat well.
  3. Simmer the hot dogs until the sauce is dark and slightly thick and the hot dogs are cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Place hot dogs in toasted buns and serve immediately with honey mustard and relish.
