Ingredients

  • 5 long strips orange zest with little white
  • additional strip of orange zest for garnish
  • 1/2 cup snipped fresh thyme sprigs
  • whole thyme sprigs for garnish
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced shallot

Instructions

  1. Combine orange zest, thyme sprigs, shallots, bay leaves, and fennel seed in a jar or container.
  2. Allow the mixture to sit to develop flavor; use about a tablespoon to add to cooking water, sprinkle on after cooking, or incorporate into salads as a flavorful dressing or marinade.
