Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz.) cans whole water chestnuts
  • bacon strips, cut into thirds
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 to 3 shakes garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Drain the liquid from one can of water chestnuts.
  2. Add those chestnuts to the other can and its liquid.
  3. Add soy sauce and garlic salt to the mixture.
  4. Stir well and refrigerate overnight to marinate.
  5. When ready to serve, drain the liquid from the chestnuts (they will be brown).
  6. Wrap each water chestnut with a bacon strip and secure with a toothpick.
  7. Broil until the bacon is crisp and browned.
  8. Serve hot or reheat as desired.
