Ingredients

  • 1 lb. stew beef
  • 5 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3 carrots, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup corn
  • 2 packages Lipton onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the stew beef over medium heat until browned on all sides.
  2. Add the peeled and cubed potatoes, carrots, and corn to the pot.
  3. Stir in the Lipton onion soup mix and cook for a few minutes to combine flavors.
  4. Pour in enough water or broth to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 2 hours until the beef is tender.
  6. Optional: For a thicker broth, add a can of cream of mushroom soup during simmering.
  7. Optional: For a more tomato-flavored stew, add a can of tomato paste.
  8. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
